Hairy Tony's can best described as a neighborhood bar that goes well beyond bar food and everything we have tried was delicious. We had been there a few years ago quite a few times during our stay and it is still a go to for us. In addition to delicious food from a diverse menu, it has a cozy pub atmosphere. The service is excellent and attentive but not intrusive. Definitely still a fave un this area

It was a good place when I would go for drinks after work with my co-workers. We liked their nachos and a few other appetizers, but generally their food is 1. overpriced, and 2. mediocre. I've had a number of their dishes and ended up usually getting some kind of mac and cheese or a burger or something - basically something they can't mess up. They showcase a big menu with some tasty-sounding things that usually come up flat.
I haven't been there in about a year though, but we started to go a lot less.
If you want to go in for some beer or wine flights, it's one of the best in town. If you want some basic pub food, it's really good. But don't be fooled by their big menu. -

Not the best but not the worst! I found this restaurant on yelp while trying to find a place to eat in Cortland. The menu has pretty much every item that you can think of (not really) but there are a lot of items! There is street parking. I got Shepard's pie which was okay! The bread was a little hard though- If you have time and want a variety of food, check this place out. I heard the chicken wrap is really good btw

After recovering from the creepy experience we had when we accidentally walked into the Dark Horse pub next door, my boyfriend and I walked into Hairy Tony's for dinner. He ordered the sun-dried tomato & chicken pasta dish, and I the quinoa and salmon dish.
Our waitress wasn't particularly friendly or warm to us so I will keep this short. My dish was okay, except for the salt crystals that seemed to be large and crunchy... pretty much ruined the dish for me. But my boyfriends dish was excellent. I pushed off the chicken and Parmesan cheese, and still the pasta was great (or maybe I was just hungry).
$50 for two entrees and a beer is a little steep for a restaurant in this area, IMO. But the variety in the menu seemed promising. If the staff was a little friendlier, I would probably try again, but I'll have to try somewhere else the next time. -

Lively bar on a Thursday night. Nice selection of beers and wines without too many choices. Attentive wait and bar staff. Wide selection of Bar food. Only came for a night snack but Goat Cheese, Mixed Berry Phylo was perfectly prepared.
